I red that novel when I was a child and it became one of my favourite books. While doing the work, I red the Picnic again and rewatched the Stalker movie by Tarkovsky. I wanted my own rendition, but I certainly loved the concept of the Stalker, where the heroes give up their desires, explaining that no one can fully understand and acknowledge their most intimate dreams.
